Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Barista Profesional to join our dynamic team at Kedai Kopi, a leading specialty coffee destination dedicated to delivering exceptional coffee experiences across Indonesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting premium beverages, maintaining bar standards, and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of espresso‑based drinks, pour‑overs, cold brews, and specialty beverages with consistent quality and presentation.
- Demonstrate latte art skills (heart, rosette, tulip) to enhance visual appeal and elevate the customer experience.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment—including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers—ensuring optimal performance and daily cleaning routines.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other consumables; perform regular stock checks and report shortages to the shift manager.
- Handle point‑of‑sale (POS) transactions accurately, process cash and card payments, and maintain balanced cash drawers at the end of each shift.
- Uphold hygiene and safety standards by following food‑handling protocols, conducting regular sanitation of workstations, and adhering to health regulations.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on coffee origins, roast profiles, and brewing methods, educating customers about the nuances of specialty coffee.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours, and assist in training new baristas on standard operating procedures.
- Maintain an organized, tidy, and welcoming bar area, reflecting the brand’s commitment to professionalism and cleanliness.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- No strict age limit; candidates of any age are welcome.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Zero to several years of barista experience; enthusiastic beginners with a passion for coffee are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines and creating latte art (a plus).
- Solid understanding of coffee beans, grind size, extraction times, and overall bar operations.
- Demonstrated honesty, neatness, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
- Flexibility to work Monday‑Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during special events.
