Introduction
The Asisten Guru Sekolah Dasar (Citra) is a pivotal role within our elementary education team, supporting classroom teachers in delivering high‑quality, student‑centered learning experiences. Working in a vibrant, multicultural environment, the Assistant Teacher helps nurture curiosity, build foundational skills, and foster a love of learning among young children aged 5‑12. This position offers a dynamic blend of instructional support, classroom management, and administrative assistance, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and educational standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lesson materials aligned with the national curriculum.
- Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group tutoring to reinforce key concepts in literacy, numeracy, and science.
- Prepare classroom resources, including worksheets, visual aids, and digital presentations, while maintaining an organized learning environment.
- Support classroom management by monitoring student behavior, implementing positive reinforcement strategies, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Facilitate extracurricular activities such as art, music, and sports, encouraging holistic development.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance logs, and progress reports in collaboration with administrative staff.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student performance and upcoming events.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and collaborative planning sessions.
- Assist with assessment preparation, grading, and the analysis of student data to inform instructional adjustments.
- Uphold school policies, promote inclusive practices, and model respectful behavior for students.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education or a related field with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) is acceptable for Teacher Assistant or Administration Staff positions.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Maximum age: 32 years.
- Excellent command of English; TOEFL or IELTS certification is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, teachers, and parents.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, Google Workspace) and familiarity with educational technology tools.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and a passion for early childhood education.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
