Responsibilities
- Assist the Cook with ingredient preparation, including cutting, marinating, seasoning, and plating according to recipe specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area by regularly sanitizing work surfaces, equipment, and kitchen tools.
- Prepare mise‑en‑place in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and kitchen standards.
- Support cooking operations during high‑volume periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Store food items following food‑safety protocols such as FIFO (First In, First Out) to preserve freshness and prevent waste.
- Manage kitchen waste, separate recyclables, and keep the work environment tidy and hazard‑free.
- Adhere to all health, hygiene, and occupational safety regulations, including proper handling of hot equipment and knives.
- Monitor inventory levels of basic ingredients and notify the Cook or kitchen manager of any shortages.
- Assist in basic cooking tasks when required, such as stirring sauces, grilling, or assembling garnishes.
- Participate in regular kitchen briefings, providing feedback on workflow improvements.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; culinary or hospitality training is a plus.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a kitchen assistant, cook helper, or similar role.
- Gender: Male (as specified by the client).
- Age: Up to 35 years old.
- Technical Skills: Basic cooking techniques, knife handling, knowledge of food safety and sanitation, ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, disciplined work habits, attention to detail, time‑management, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Good health, stamina to stand for long periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a hot environment.
- Availability: Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, with typical hours from 08:00 to 17:00.
