Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective borrowers, presenting Amartha’s loan products and encouraging enrollment in our financial programs.
- Conduct home visits to assess household economic conditions and provide ongoing mentorship to existing members.
- Perform detailed surveys and feasibility analyses of loan applications, ensuring compliance with Amartha’s underwriting policies, procedures, and risk‑assessment criteria.
- Prepare and submit well‑structured recommendations to the credit committee, highlighting borrower creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
- Accompany members to weekly group meetings, facilitate transactions, and resolve any operational issues that arise during service delivery.
- Maintain accurate field records, update the CRM system promptly, and report key performance indicators to the regional supervisor.
- Collaborate with local partners, community leaders, and other Amartha staff to expand the outreach network and improve financial literacy.
- Travel across the assigned territory using a personal two‑wheel vehicle, ensuring timely coverage of all target villages.
Requirements
- Age: maximum 28 years (some listings also accept up to 35 years).
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) – candidates with a Bachelor’s degree (S1) are strongly preferred.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Vehicle: Ownership of a reliable motorbike (2‑wheel) for field travel.
- Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome; prior experience in micro‑finance, sales, or community development is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills – ability to build trust with borrowers, coordinate with teammates, and present information clearly to supervisors.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, including conflict resolution, active listening, and customer‑relationship management.
- Willingness to work in the field full‑time, with flexibility to travel throughout Amartha’s branches as needed.
