Introduction

The ideal candidate will combine a community‑focused mindset with strong analytical abilities to help expand our network of borrowers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential new borrowers by conducting outreach activities, community events, and door‑to‑door visits to promote Amartha’s loan programs.
  • Provide personalized economic counseling and ongoing support to existing client households, ensuring they understand loan terms and can manage repayments effectively.
  • Conduct thorough field surveys and feasibility analyses of loan applications, evaluating creditworthiness against Amartha’s internal policies, risk criteria, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for each prospect, including income verification, business plans, and collateral assessments.
  • Coordinate and execute the collection process, following up with borrowers on due dates, negotiating repayment schedules when necessary, and maintaining accurate payment records.
  • Collaborate closely with the regional operations team, sharing market insights, feedback from borrowers, and suggestions for product improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized mess (employee housing) environment, respecting communal living standards and fostering a professional atmosphere.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, webinars, and skill‑development workshops to stay current on micro‑finance best practices and digital tools.
  • Represent Amartha at local community meetings, government forums, and partner events to strengthen brand visibility and build strategic relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; higher education is a plus.
  • Age between 18‑30 years (maximum 33 years as per company policy).
  • Open to all genders; female candidates are given preference.
  • Possession of a personal motorbike or vehicle for daily field travel.
  • Strong integrity, honesty, and a detail‑oriented work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build trust in diverse community settings.
  • Resilience and discipline to work independently on the field from Monday to Friday, 08:00‑17:00.
  • Basic digital literacy—comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, and data entry platforms for loan processing.
  • No prior experience required; however, experience in sales, community development, or micro‑finance is advantageous.
