Responsibilities
The Business Partner – Staff Lapangan will be responsible for a blend of sales, client support, and credit assessment activities. Core duties include:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential new borrowers in the Simo region, introducing them to Amartha’s micro‑loan programs and guiding them through the enrollment process.
- Provide ongoing economic coaching to member households, helping them manage cash flow, improve financial literacy, and grow their micro‑enterprise activities.
- Conduct on‑site surveys and feasibility analyses of loan applications, ensuring compliance with internal underwriting standards, risk policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive recommendation reports for the Credit Committee, highlighting strengths, risks, and suggested loan terms.
- Facilitate weekly group meetings with borrowers to discuss repayment schedules, address challenges, and promote peer learning among micro‑entrepreneurs.
- Coordinate collection activities, negotiate repayment plans when necessary, and maintain accurate field records in the company’s CRM system.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to organize community outreach events, workshops, and product demonstrations that raise awareness of Amartha’s services.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and local economic conditions to adjust outreach strategies and improve portfolio performance.
Requirements
Successful candidates will meet the following baseline qualifications and demonstrate the soft skills essential for field success:
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 33 years.
- Open to all genders.
- No prior work experience required; however, any exposure to sales, community outreach, or micro‑finance is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to build trust with rural households.
- Basic numeracy and analytical skills for assessing loan eligibility.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and a service‑oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with basic office tools and willingness to learn Amartha’s proprietary software.
- Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory and adapt to varying field conditions.
