We are seeking a dedicated Cook Assistant – Food Preparation Support to join our vibrant kitchen team. Responsibilities

  • Assist senior cooks and chefs in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation by regularly sanitizing surfaces, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency across all menu items.
  • Support the assembly of plated dishes during peak service hours, ensuring timely delivery to the service line.
  • Monitor inventory levels of basic supplies (e.g., herbs, spices, sauces) and notify the kitchen supervisor of low stock.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations, including proper storage temperatures and handling of allergens.
  • Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries, checking for quality and correct quantities.
  • Participate in daily kitchen briefings, contributing ideas for menu improvements or workflow efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to foster a cooperative and respectful work atmosphere.
  • Engage in ongoing training sessions to enhance cooking techniques, hygiene practices, and customer service awareness.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age: Up to 28 years old.

  • Basic cooking skills or a genuine interest in learning professional food preparation.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in a kitchen environment, even if informal (e.g., home catering, school cafeteria).
  • Strong work ethic: honest, courteous, and responsible.
  • Ability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during special events.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
