Introduction
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Economics Teacher to join our reputable educational institution. This role is tailored for candidates who possess a strong academic background (minimum S1, preferably S2) and have demonstrated expertise in teaching economics at advanced levels, including madrasa (Madin) environments. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering rigorous curriculum, fostering critical thinking, and nurturing a love of economics among students ranging from high school to university preparatory classes.
The position offers a full‑time schedule, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, providing ample opportunity to shape the next generation of economic thinkers while working within a supportive, values‑driven community.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive economics lessons that align with national standards and the institution’s pedagogical framework.
- Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and projects while providing constructive feedback to promote student growth.
- Integrate modern teaching technologies and interactive methods to enhance classroom engagement.
- Guide students in research projects, case studies, and real‑world economic analysis, encouraging application of theoretical concepts.
- Mentor junior faculty members and contribute to professional development workshops.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progression.
- Participate in curriculum review committees to continuously improve the economics program.
- Uphold institutional policies, demonstrate loyalty, and model ethical behavior for both students and staff.
- For madrasa (Madin) teaching duties: read and interpret classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning), apply principles of Nahwu‑Shorof, and incorporate Islamic economic perspectives into lessons.
- Collaborate with language instructors to support bilingual instruction in Arabic and English when required.
- Engage with parents and community stakeholders through meetings, newsletters, and outreach events.
Requirements
- Minimum educational attainment: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Economics, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree (S2) preferred.
- Academic credentials must be linear with the teaching position (economics specialization).
- Graduates from accredited public universities (PTN) are strongly preferred.
- No concurrent affiliations with competing educational institutions.
- Demonstrated loyalty and a proven track record of adhering to institutional regulations.
- For madrasa teaching roles: ability to read classical Arabic texts (kitab kuning) and mastery of Nahwu‑Shorof grammar.
- Completion of at least five years of formal pesantren education.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex economic concepts into accessible lessons.
