Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Guru Kelas SD/MI to join our vibrant elementary school community. The ideal candidate will possess a solid academic background, a minimum of one year of teaching experience, and a genuine passion for fostering the intellectual and personal growth of young learners. As a key member of our faculty, you will play an integral role in shaping the curriculum, nurturing a love of learning, and collaborating with parents and staff to create a supportive and innovative educational environment.
This position offers a full‑time schedule from Monday to Saturday, with working hours of 06:30 – 14:30, allowing you to engage deeply with students while also contributing to the broader development initiatives of the school.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards‑aligned lessons to primary school students (grades SD/MI), employing a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain comprehensive teaching materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools that reflect current pedagogical best practices.
- Complete all required administrative duties, including attendance records, grade books, and weekly progress reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Participate actively in school development programs such as curriculum reviews, teacher workshops, and community outreach events.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with parents, providing regular updates on student performance and addressing concerns promptly.
- Serve as a mentor and supervisor for extracurricular activities, guiding students in sports, arts, and clubs while promoting teamwork and personal responsibility.
- Utilize educational technology tools (e‑learning platforms, interactive whiteboards, digital assessment apps) to enhance classroom interaction and student engagement.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to design interdisciplinary projects that foster critical thinking and creativity.
- Continuously reflect on teaching practices, seek professional development opportunities, and implement innovative approaches to improve student outcomes.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven classroom teaching experience at the elementary level.
- Age: Candidates must be 35 years old or younger.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Religious Preference: Catholic candidates are given priority, though the school welcomes qualified individuals of all faiths.
- Core Skills: Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and the ability to develop effective teaching modules.
