Introduction

Responsibilities
- Accurately process cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining a balanced register at the start and end of each shift.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers purchasing packaged cakes, traditional Medan souvenirs, and other F&B items.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, recommend complementary items, and upsell promotional bundles to increase average transaction value.
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and ensure that all merchandise displays are tidy, well‑stocked, and visually appealing.
- Perform regular inventory checks, receive deliveries, and update stock records using the store’s inventory management system.
- Coordinate with the back‑office team to handle returns, exchanges, and resolve any billing discrepancies promptly.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and food safety standards, especially when handling pre‑packaged baked goods.
- Participate in periodic training sessions on product knowledge, customer service excellence, and cash‑handling best practices.
- Work flexible schedules, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional overtime during peak sales periods.
- Support promotional events, seasonal campaigns, and in‑store merchandising initiatives to boost foot traffic.
Requirements
- Female candidates only; hijab‑wearing applicants are highly preferred.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in retail cash handling or customer service.
- Strong numerical aptitude and proficiency in cash counting, reconciliation, and basic POS systems.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to speak clearly and courteously with diverse customers.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and a disciplined work ethic.
- Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Creative and innovative presentation skills—helping to display products in a modern, attractive manner.
- Flexibility to work on holidays and weekends as required.
