Introduction
J&T Express is seeking energetic and reliable individuals to join our logistics team as a Courier (Kurir) in the Bangkalan region. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail‑oriented, possess strong time‑management skills, and have a genuine passion for providing exceptional delivery service. As a courier, you will be the face of J&T Express, ensuring that parcels and packages reach customers safely, on time, and with a smile.
Responsibilities
- Collect parcels and packages from the central depot and deliver them to the designated addresses according to detailed shipping instructions.
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes using mapping tools or personal knowledge of the area to maximize efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
- Verify each delivery address before departure, confirming that street names, house numbers, and contact details are accurate.
- Handle parcels with care to prevent damage or loss during transit, employing proper lifting techniques and securing items in the vehicle.
- Obtain customer signatures or electronic confirmations for each successful delivery and record them promptly in the delivery log or mobile app.
- Collect cash‑on‑delivery (COD) payments when required, ensure accurate accounting, and submit receipts to the finance team at the end of the shift.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with the dispatch center, reporting any delivery issues, traffic delays, or customer inquiries.
- Update the delivery system in real time, entering status changes, notes, and any exceptions encountered during the route.
- Perform a quick inspection of your vehicle each day, checking tire pressure, fuel level, and overall condition to ensure safe operation.
- Adhere to the work schedule of Monday through Sunday, 08:00–17:00, and be prepared to handle peak‑period volumes during holidays or promotional events.
Requirements
- Male candidates only (as per local operational policy).
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age not exceeding 40 years.
- Valid Indonesian driver’s license for motorcycles (SIM C) and ownership of a reliable personal motorbike.
- Honest, disciplined, and responsible attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent knowledge of the Bangkalan area; familiarity with local streets, landmarks, and shortcuts is a plus.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for handling documentation and cash transactions.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the dispatch team.
- Physical stamina to load and unload parcels repeatedly throughout the day.
