Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Excellence Manager to lead continuous improvement initiatives at our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Kab. Grobogan. This senior role reports directly to the Plant Director and is responsible for shaping the strategic roadmap that drives operational efficiency, product quality, and cost competitiveness across all manufacturing lines. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a proven track record of delivering measurable improvement projects in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short‑, medium‑, and long‑term Manufacturing Excellence programs aligned with corporate objectives.
- Lead cross‑functional Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) analyses to identify bottlenecks and implement streamlined workflows.
- Oversee the design and implementation of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Process (DFP) guidelines to ensure product designs are production‑ready.
- Mentor and coach engineers, supervisors, and line operators in continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless integration of new product introductions.
- Prepare and present performance dashboards, KPI reports, and ROI analyses to senior leadership.
- Manage a portfolio of improvement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve targeted results.
- Foster a culture of open communication, encouraging ideas from all levels of the organization and recognizing outstanding contributions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and corporate governance policies throughout all improvement activities.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Excellence or Continuous Improvement leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing large‑scale manufacturing improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of VSM, Industrial Engineering (IE), Six Sigma, and DFM/DFP principles.
- Ability to design and implement strategic work programs spanning short, medium, and long horizons.
- Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Proven leadership, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Willingness to be based full‑time in Kab. Grobogan.
- Open to working a six‑day work week (Monday‑Saturday) from 08:00 to 17:00.
