Responsibilities
- Assist senior pastry chefs in the preparation of a wide range of pastries, viennoiseries, cakes, and plated desserts following standardized recipes and plating guidelines.
- Measure, mix, and bake ingredients with precision, ensuring consistency, flavor balance, and visual appeal.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station, adhering to HACCP, food‑safety, and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry supplies, report shortages, and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Support the mise en place for breakfast buffets, a‑la‑carte dessert menus, and special events such as weddings, conferences, and banquets.
- Collaborate with the front‑of‑house team to ensure timely service, responding promptly to guest feedback and special dietary requests.
- Continuously develop pastry techniques by participating in Accor’s internal training programs, workshops, and cross‑training opportunities.
- Contribute creative ideas for seasonal menus, new product development, and local ingredient integration.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance, such as cleaning mixers, ovens, and pastry tools, and report any malfunctions to the kitchen manager.
- Uphold the brand’s standards for presentation, portion control, and cost management while working efficiently under high‑tempo conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in a professional pastry or bakery environment.
- Strong knowledge of basic pastry techniques, dough handling, and dessert decoration.
- Ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a team, demonstrating reliability and initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and a guest‑service mindset, ensuring every plate exceeds expectations.
- Adaptability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen, handling multiple orders while maintaining quality.

- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime for special events.
