As a Sales Counter Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them find the right products for their worship needs while ensuring a smooth and trustworthy transaction experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their needs, offering guidance on a wide range of Islamic worship items, mosque furnishings, and related accessories.
- Demonstrate product features, benefits, and proper usage, ensuring customers understand how each item can enhance their spiritual practices.
- Maintain accurate cash register operations, process sales transactions, issue receipts, and handle returns or exchanges following company policy.
- Perform daily inventory checks, restock shelves, and keep the sales floor organized, clean, and visually appealing.
- Utilize basic computer skills to update sales records, manage customer databases, and generate end‑of‑day reports.
- Collaborate with the procurement and logistics teams to communicate stock levels and anticipate upcoming product demands.
- Provide after‑sales support, answering follow‑up queries, and addressing any concerns to foster long‑term customer loyalty.
- Participate in regular product training sessions to stay informed about new arrivals, seasonal promotions, and religious holidays that affect purchasing patterns.
- Adhere to store policies regarding security, cash handling, and ethical conduct, ensuring a trustworthy environment for both customers and colleagues.
- Contribute ideas for improving the sales process, visual merchandising, and overall customer experience during team meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in sales, retail, or customer service, preferably in a store specializing in religious or mosque equipment.
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to explain product details clearly and courteously.
- Professional, modest appearance that reflects Islamic values and the company’s brand image.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, such as point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office.
- High level of integrity, punctuality, and responsibility, with a disciplined work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to be based in Padang and commute to the assigned store location.
