Introduction
We are seeking an energetic Sales Motorist to join our expanding sales team in the Barumun region. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals eager to launch a career in field sales, particularly in the automotive or consumer goods sectors. As a Sales Motorist, you will be the face of our company, traveling across the assigned territory, building relationships with retailers, and driving product visibility and sales growth.
The position offers a dynamic work environment with a balance of office coordination and on‑road activity, allowing you to develop strong negotiation skills while contributing directly to revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Visit existing and prospective retail outlets within the Barumun area to present product offerings and secure orders.
- Conduct product demonstrations, explain features and benefits, and address customer inquiries on the spot.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, including sales calls, orders taken, and market feedback.
- Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets by implementing effective sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Collect and relay competitive intelligence to the regional manager to help shape pricing and positioning.
- Ensure proper merchandising, stock placement, and price compliance at each outlet.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to confirm timely delivery of orders and resolve any delivery issues.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay up‑to‑date on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry trends.
- Represent the company at local trade events, fairs, and community gatherings as needed.
- Maintain the company‑provided motorbike in good condition and ensure all necessary documentation, including a valid SIM C, is current.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Open to candidates of any gender; fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Passion for sales with a proactive, self‑motivated attitude.
- Ownership of a motorbike and willingness to obtain a valid SIM C license.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and close sales deals.
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight in the Barumun region when required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Basic literacy in using mobile apps for order entry and reporting.
