Introduction
SPX Express, a leading regional logistics provider in North Sumatra, is seeking a dynamic Shift Lead to join our fast‑growing operations hub in Binjai Selatan. This pivotal role ensures the seamless flow of goods from inbound receipt to outbound delivery, coordinating a team of couriers, warehouse staff, and 3PL partners. The successful candidate will thrive in a high‑tempo environment, demonstrate strong leadership, and possess a solid understanding of end‑to‑end supply‑chain processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily schedules for courier pick‑ups, optimizing routes to meet service level agreements and minimize transit time.
- Supervise the entire shipping and receiving workflow, from the moment goods arrive at the warehouse to their hand‑over to 3PL providers or outbound couriers.
- Define and adjust delivery zones based on volume trends, geographic considerations, and customer priorities.
- Monitor and control the inbound and outbound inventory flow, ensuring accurate documentation and real‑time system updates.
- Oversee sorting and distribution activities, guaranteeing that parcels are correctly labeled, consolidated, and staged for dispatch.
- Coordinate with the 3PL partners to resolve any discrepancies, delays, or exceptions in the logistics chain.
- Lead a team of warehouse operatives and courier coordinators, providing coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Generate operational reports on key performance indicators such as on‑time delivery, pick‑rate accuracy, and labor productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulations throughout all shift activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for shift‑related escalations, communicating promptly with senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field is a plus.
- 1–2 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related operational role.
- Solid grasp of warehouse operations, inventory control, and parcel distribution processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic logistics management software.
- Strong communication, coordination, and team‑leadership skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, with flexibility to adjust to operational demands.
- Willingness to be based in Binjai Selatan, Kota Binjai, Sumatera Utara, or to relocate if necessary.
