Introduction
We are seeking energetic and detail‑oriented individuals to join our warehouse team as a Sorter Gudang Ekspedisi Karawaci. The role is based at our Karawaci distribution hub, a key node in the national logistics network that supports e‑commerce, retail, and B2B shipments across Indonesia. As a sorter, you will play a vital part in ensuring that parcels move swiftly and accurately from inbound receipt to outbound delivery, directly influencing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Sort incoming and outgoing parcels by route, geographic zone, and service category (e.g., standard, express, COD).
- Perform inbound and outbound scanning using handheld Android devices, guaranteeing data integrity and real‑time visibility in the warehouse management system.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks, containers, and vans, following proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
- Arrange sorted packages on designated racks, bins, or conveyor belts according to the facility’s zoning plan.
- Inspect each parcel for visible damage, mismatched labeling, or weight discrepancies and promptly report any issues to the shift supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all SOPs, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with fellow sorters, supervisors, and the transportation team to resolve bottlenecks and meet daily throughput targets.
- Document any incidents, exceptions, or delays in the system to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts and cycle‑count activities to verify stock accuracy.
- Contribute ideas for process enhancements, such as optimizing sorting routes or improving workspace layout.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- Age 18 – 45 years; all genders are welcome.
- Valid Indonesian KTP and family card (KK).
- Own Android smartphone with at least 4 GB RAM to run the company scanning application.
- Personal bank account for salary disbursement.
- Good physical health and stamina to lift and move packages up to 25 kg.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends (Monday – Sunday, 08:00 – 17:00).
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn warehouse management software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive safety mindset.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills; ability to follow instructions and give clear feedback.
- Prior experience in warehouse sorting, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
