Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at Pakuwon Mall in Surabaya. This position offers a vibrant work environment within one of the region’s most popular shopping and entertainment destinations. As a Cook, you will play a pivotal role in preparing high‑quality dishes that delight our diverse clientele, while adhering to strict food‑safety standards and the culinary style of our restaurant partners. The role is full‑time, Monday through Saturday, with regular hours from 08:00 to 17:00.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and plate a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all cooking equipment is sanitized and stored properly.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation, and communicate ingredient shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak dining periods.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper temperature control, cross‑contamination prevention, and waste management.
- Participate in daily prep work, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients for the day’s service.
- Assist in developing new menu items and suggest improvements to existing recipes based on customer feedback.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, reporting any hazards or incidents immediately.
- Maintain a professional demeanor, exhibiting discipline, speed, and attention to detail under pressure.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent, preferably with a focus on Tata Boga (Culinary Arts) or a related field.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or similar food‑service establishment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, recipe execution, and food presentation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high quality and consistency.
- Excellent personal hygiene and a disciplined work ethic.
- Flexibility to work six days a week (Monday‑Saturday) and adapt to shift changes if needed.
