Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and portion controls.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety regulations (HACCP) and local health codes.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with chefs, waitstaff, and cashiers to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures, adjusting as needed to meet quality expectations.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings, sharing insights on menu items, special requests, and any operational challenges.
- Support the training of new kitchen assistants by demonstrating proper techniques and safety procedures.
- Handle minor maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment, reporting faulty appliances, and restocking supplies.
- Contribute ideas for menu enhancements, cost‑saving measures, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent (SMP qualification is acceptable for kitchen‑specific roles).
- Age: maximum 27 years old.
- Physical requirements: minimum height of 165 cm for males and 155 cm for females; must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Gender: open to all genders.
- Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment and follow standard operating procedures.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
- Basic literacy in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is a plus but not required.
