Responsibilities
- Assist head chefs and kitchen supervisors in the preparation of daily menu items, including chopping, sautéing, and deep‑frying.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by regularly sanitizing workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, spices, and kitchen supplies; report shortages and help with stock replenishment.
- Support the execution of special events, banquet services, and holiday menus by preparing additional dishes and ensuring timely delivery.
- Operate basic kitchen machinery such as blenders, fryers, ovens, and food processors in accordance with safety protocols.
- Participate in daily pre‑service meetings to understand menu changes, portion control guidelines, and quality standards.
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries to guarantee freshness and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Perform routine equipment checks, report any malfunctions, and coordinate minor repairs or maintenance with the facilities team.
- Be willing to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays, when demand spikes or special occasions arise.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency, suggest new cooking techniques, and share knowledge with fellow staff members.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Maximum 25 years, unmarried, and currently residing in Malang.
- Gender: Open to all genders, though the initial posting emphasizes female candidates.
- Health: Physically and mentally fit with no chronic illnesses; ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
- Experience: Prior experience (at least 6 months) in a small‑scale restaurant, café, or food‑and‑beverage (FnB) environment.
- Skills: Basic cooking techniques such as chopping, frying, and seasoning; familiarity with common kitchen tools and equipment.
- Personal Traits: Honest, disciplined, quick‑learner, adaptable, and eager to follow instructions.
- Availability: Not currently enrolled in school or employed elsewhere; able to commit to a full‑time schedule (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Willingness to work overtime and on public holidays when required.
