Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Staf Teknisi Elektromedis (ATEM) to join our growing medical technology team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all electro‑medical equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with national health regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in technical troubleshooting, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, biomedical engineers, and hospital support staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety checks on a wide range of electro‑medical devices, including defibrillators, patient monitors, infusion pumps, and imaging equipment.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, repair or replace faulty components, and document all service actions in the hospital’s asset management system.
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to understand device usage patterns and provide on‑site technical support during emergencies.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, local health authority standards, and manufacturer service guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver training sessions for clinical staff on proper equipment operation, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Participate in equipment validation and acceptance testing for newly acquired devices.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the biomedical department.
- Work a six‑day workweek (Monday to Saturday) from 08:00 to 17:00, with occasional on‑call duties for critical equipment failures.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a technical diploma or certification in biomedical engineering is highly preferred.
- At least 0–2 years of hands‑on experience in a similar electro‑medical technician role or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of basic medical concepts and terminology (Pemahaman Medis).
- Demonstrated ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams, showing reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to diagnose complex equipment issues under pressure.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a plus for reading technical manuals.
- Flexibility to handle urgent service calls and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
