Responsibilities

The Steward / Helper will support the kitchen staff and service crew by performing a variety of essential tasks. Key duties include:

  • Handling all dining and kitchen equipment with care to prevent damage and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, cutlery, and buffet utensils, following strict hygiene standards.
  • Managing the inventory of cleaning supplies, measuring soap and sanitizer quantities efficiently to control costs.
  • Transporting prepared dishes from the kitchen to the buffet stations promptly, while arranging trays, chafing dishes, and serving tools.
  • Assisting cooks by washing, peeling, and pre‑preparing vegetables and other ingredients.
  • Maintaining a tidy work area, sweeping floors, and disposing of waste according to health‑safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with the service team to restock buffet lines, replenish garnishes, and ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Reporting any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the kitchen supervisor immediately.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications and personal attributes:

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a background in culinary arts or hospitality (tata boga/perhotelan) is highly valued.
  • Age between 18 and 26 years old.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or hotel setting.
  • Strong service orientation with a genuine desire to support both guests and teammates.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work quickly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Honest, reliable character with a team‑player mindset.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
  • Basic cooking skills and proficiency in washing dishes are required.
  • Open to all genders.
