Introduction
We are looking for a Senior Network Maintenance Technician (Teknisi Pemeliharaan Jaringan Tingkat Senior) to join our growing telecommunications team in Sumatera Selatan. The role focuses on the installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of fiber‑optic infrastructure for both Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) networks. The successful candidate will work on a 24‑hour shift schedule, Monday through Sunday, ensuring that our customers receive reliable, high‑speed connectivity across the region.
Responsibilities
- Collect, verify, and update customer data as well as ISP and OSP inventory records to maintain accurate network documentation.
- Perform fiber‑optic repairs, including splicing, connector replacement, and accessory installation, from cable pull‑in to jointing.
- Conduct on‑site surveys and execute re‑routing of fiber routes to resolve outages, support preventive maintenance plans, and implement scheduled upgrades.
- Generate and submit detailed flow‑JB and core‑network updates through the ICRM system after each recovery or maintenance activity.
- Coordinate the transition of aerial cable (Kabel Udara) to underground routes for fault recovery or customer‑requested relocations, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Execute preventive maintenance on Fiber Optic Cables (FOC) for both TR/TM and ADSS structures, covering splicing, drop‑wire checks, and fault analysis.
- Maintain OSP infrastructure, including ADSS LS structures, by performing routine inspections, tension adjustments, and environmental protection measures.
- Utilize specialized fiber‑optic tools such as splicers, Optical Power Meters (OPM), OTDRs, and BER testers to diagnose and resolve performance issues.
- Collaborate with the network operations center (NOC) and field engineers to prioritize work orders, share status reports, and ensure seamless service restoration.
- Promote a culture of safety by adhering to K3 guidelines, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting any hazards or incidents immediately.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; technical background in Telecommunications or Electrical (preferred TKJ specialization).
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in fiber‑optic network installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Strong knowledge of K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) standards; certification from BNSP or Kemnaker is a plus.
- Proficiency with fiber‑optic testing equipment (splicer, OPM, OTDR, BER tester, etc.).
- Valid SIM A driver’s license for travel to various sites across Sumatera Selatan.
- Male candidates only, as specified by the client’s operational policy.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for reporting to supervisors and interacting with customers.
- Willingness to work rotating 24‑hour shifts (08:00 – 08:00) and to be deployed in any location within the province.
