Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional WiFi Technician to join our dynamic team at the Kudus Branch office. The successful candidate will be based in Kudus or Jepara, work primarily in the field, and play a critical part in maintaining and expanding our WiFi infrastructure across a variety of commercial and institutional sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform site surveys to assess client requirements, evaluate existing network conditions, and recommend optimal WiFi solutions.
- Install, configure, and commission wireless access points, routers, switches, and related network hardware according to manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
- Conduct thorough testing of signal strength, coverage maps, and network performance to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues, including interference, authentication failures, and hardware malfunctions, both remotely and on‑site.
- Provide on‑site technical support and act as the first point of contact for customers experiencing WiFi outages or performance degradation.
- Document all installation procedures, configuration settings, and maintenance activities in the company’s ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the help‑desk team to escalated issues, share knowledge, and improve overall service quality.
- Stay up‑to‑date with emerging WiFi standards (e.g., Wi‑Fi 6, Wi‑Fi 6E) and recommend upgrades or enhancements that align with client needs.
- Maintain inventory of networking equipment, ensure proper labeling, and manage return‑goods processes.
- Participate in periodic training sessions and share best practices with junior technicians to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements
- Male candidate, residing in Kudus or Jepara, with a strong commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Minimum education: D3/D4 or an equivalent SMK TKJ (Technical Computer and Telecommunications) qualification.
- Prior experience as a WiFi technician is preferred, though motivated fresh graduates with solid theoretical knowledge are welcome.
- Proven understanding of internet networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and wireless security protocols.
- Willingness to work in the field, often traveling to client sites, and ability to lift and install equipment safely.
- Demonstrated honesty, strong work ethic, and a proactive attitude toward problem solving.
- High desire to learn, adapt to new technologies quickly, and obtain relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Ubiquiti Ubiquiti Certified Network Specialist).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Basic help‑desk support skills, including ticket handling, remote diagnostics, and customer service etiquette.
