Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Pengumpul Lapangan (Field Collector) to join our team operating in the Minahasa region. The successful candidate will be responsible for on‑site debt collection, payment retrieval, and accurate reporting of daily activities. This role is crucial for maintaining healthy cash flow and fostering positive relationships with our customers while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
The position offers a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00, and provides an opportunity to develop strong negotiation and communication skills within a dynamic, service‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site visits to customers for the purpose of debt collection and payment recovery.
- Negotiate payment terms and settlement amounts while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Collect cash, checks, or electronic payments and issue receipts as required.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily visit reports, including customer interactions, amounts collected, and any outstanding issues.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date map of the Minahasa service area to optimize travel routes and improve collection efficiency.
- Identify and flag potential fraud or delinquent accounts for further review by the credit control department.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes and provide feedback on market conditions.
- Ensure all collected data is entered accurately into the company’s CRM system before the end of each shift.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating a two‑wheel vehicle and handling cash transactions.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to stay current with collection best practices and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Age between 18 and 40 years; maximum age limit of 45 years for special considerations.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of work experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have completed 2 years as a collector or similar field role.
- Valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM C) and ownership of a reliable two‑wheel motor vehicle.
- Thorough knowledge of the Minahasa region, including local streets, neighborhoods, and cultural nuances.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet daily collection targets.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality of customer information.
