As the face of our store, the cashier plays a pivotal role in shaping the shopping experience, ensuring each transaction is accurate, efficient, and courteous. Responsibilities
- Operate the POS system to process cash, credit, debit, and digital payments with precision.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer, perform end‑of‑day reconciliation, and report any discrepancies promptly.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers, answering product questions and guiding purchase decisions.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels at the checkout area, flag low‑stock items, and assist with restocking shelves when needed.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies such as receipt paper and bags.
- Collaborate with sales associates, floor managers, and supervisors to resolve issues quickly and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including fraud detection and loss‑prevention measures.
- Work under pressure during peak hours, maintaining composure and efficiency to minimize wait times.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, promotional offers, and system upgrades.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a retail cashier or sales role.
- Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor.
- Honest, responsible, and able to handle cash with utmost integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proven capability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic proficiency with cashier systems and familiarity with digital payment platforms.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00–17:00.
