Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Community Officer to join our team in Probolinggo, Jawa Timur. This role is ideal for a motivated young woman who thrives on building relationships, empowering underserved women, and contributing to financial inclusion in the community. As a key liaison between our organization and local women entrepreneurs, you will play an instrumental part in delivering business mentorship, basic financial literacy, and access to micro‑financing solutions.
The position offers a full‑time schedule from Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00, with a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary aligned with the regional UMP, performance incentives, and a range of employee benefits designed to support personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned villages and neighborhoods to establish rapport with women‑headed households, understanding their economic activities and aspirations.
- Provide one‑on‑one and group coaching on simple financial management practices, such as budgeting, savings discipline, and tracking of loan repayments.
- Facilitate the disbursement of group‑based micro‑loans without collateral, ensuring that each client receives the appropriate amount of capital to expand or start a small business.
- Monitor loan performance, collect repayment data, and coordinate with the finance team to resolve any payment issues promptly.
- Listen attentively to client needs, identify barriers to business growth, and propose tailored solutions, including referrals to partner NGOs or government programs.
- Organize community workshops and seminars on topics such as entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and women’s rights, fostering a supportive network among participants.
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM system, preparing weekly reports that highlight outreach outcomes, loan status, and client feedback.
- Collaborate with fellow officers and senior managers to continuously improve outreach strategies and align activities with the organization’s mission of financial empowerment.
Requirements
- Female candidate, aged 18 – 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 graduates are strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine enthusiasm for meeting new people and building trust.
- Demonstrated adaptability, attention to detail, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Commitment to the mission of financial inclusion and a passion for empowering women in underserved communities.
