Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs and line cooks in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all food items are stored according to safety regulations, label stock correctly, and rotate inventory using the FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) method.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station by regularly sanitizing surfaces, tools, and utensils in compliance with local health codes.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures, assisting with plating and garnish to meet presentation standards.
  • Support the kitchen during peak hours by expediting orders, restocking supplies, and communicating effectively with front‑of‑house staff.
  • Participate in daily and weekly deep‑cleaning cycles, including floor scrubbing, grease trap maintenance, and waste segregation.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the kitchen manager promptly.
  • Contribute ideas for menu improvements, waste reduction, and process optimization during team meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age range: 22‑25 years (flexible for exceptional candidates).
  • Gender: All genders are welcome to apply.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant kitchen or similar food‑service environment (experience is a plus, not a strict requirement).
  • Strong work ethic, honesty, discipline, and a high sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Neat personal appearance and adherence to hygiene standards.
  • Residency in Banda Aceh or Aceh Besar is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment and basic food‑preparation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
