Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee drinks, including espresso‑based beverages, pour‑over, cold brew, and specialty seasonal creations, ensuring consistency and adherence to the brand’s quality standards.
- Maintain an immaculate and organized work station, regularly cleaning espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment to uphold hygiene and safety regulations.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, communicative manner, offering product knowledge, recommending drinks, and handling special requests or dietary considerations.
- Manage inventory levels, receive deliveries, and perform daily stock checks to guarantee sufficient supplies of beans, milk, syrups, and other essentials.
- Process cash and electronic transactions accurately, balance registers at the end of each shift, and report any discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate closely with teammates to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours, supporting colleagues when workload spikes.
- Adhere to health, safety, and food‑handling protocols, including proper storage temperatures, allergen awareness, and emergency procedures.
- Continuously develop barista skills through training sessions, coffee tastings, and staying informed about emerging trends in the specialty coffee industry.
- Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving complaints promptly and turning challenges into positive experiences.
- Contribute ideas for menu innovation, promotional events, and community outreach initiatives that enhance the café’s reputation.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on barista experience in a coffee‑centric environment.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to interact with diverse customers politely and effectively.
- Strong sense of honesty, responsibility, and reliability.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Capability to perform under pressure during high‑traffic periods while maintaining quality standards.
