Introduction

The Director Senior Art – Creative Visuals is a senior leadership role within a fast‑growing advertising and creative agency. The successful candidate will be the visual architect behind multi‑channel campaigns, partnering closely with strategists, copywriters, and the Creative Director to turn strategic insights into compelling visual stories. This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, at least three years of agency experience, and a proven track record of guiding design teams from concept through flawless execution. The role operates on a full‑time schedule (08:00 – 17:00) and offers the opportunity to shape brand identities for a diverse portfolio of clients across digital, social, and traditional media.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the visual direction of each campaign, ensuring alignment with client objectives and overall brand strategy.
  • Develop and present strong visual concepts that translate strategic insights into memorable storytelling.
  • Oversee the entire creative process—from initial sketches and mood boards to final production assets—maintaining a consistent aesthetic across all deliverables.
  • Guide, mentor, and supervise a team of designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Strategists to refine briefs, set visual goals, and establish clear creative roadmaps.
  • Ensure that every piece of creative output meets high standards of quality, brand coherence, and technical excellence.
  • Present visual ideas and final concepts to internal stakeholders and clients, articulating the rationale behind each design decision.
  • Manage multiple concurrent campaigns, balancing creative ambition with realistic timelines and budget constraints.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in visual storytelling, digital design, and social‑first formats.
  • Maintain organized asset libraries and documentation to support efficient hand‑offs to production and development teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of progressive experience in a creative or advertising agency, with a portfolio that demonstrates leadership in visual direction.
  • Deep understanding of branding, layout principles, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with motion‑graphics tools such as After Effects is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate concepts clearly to clients and cross‑functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience with integrated campaigns that span digital, social, print, and experiential media.
  • Leadership qualities: collaborative mindset, strategic thinking, and a passion for mentoring junior designers.
