Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef and line cooks in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment according to health‑code regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and store food items properly to minimize waste.
- Support the plating and presentation of dishes, ensuring each plate meets the restaurant’s visual standards.
- Help coordinate timely service during peak hours, communicating effectively with waitstaff and the front‑of‑house team.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings, offering suggestions for workflow improvements and new menu ideas.
- Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper temperature control, labeling, and allergen management.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance, such as sharpening knives and cleaning grills, to keep the kitchen operating efficiently.
- Assist in special events, catering orders, and seasonal menu roll‑outs as needed.
Requirements
