Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow a wide variety of sewing patterns, ensuring each piece meets the technical specifications and design intent.
- Operate industrial sewing machines, including straight‑stitch, overlock, and button‑hole machines, while maintaining optimal speed and accuracy.
- Cut fabric and prepare material components according to layout plans, minimizing waste and adhering to production schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance on sewing equipment, such as cleaning, oiling, and replacing needles, to prevent downtime.
- Conduct on‑the‑spot quality checks, identifying stitching defects, alignment issues, or material flaws before items move to the next production stage.
- Collaborate closely with pattern makers, supervisors, and fellow seamstresses to resolve technical challenges and improve workflow efficiency.
- Document production outputs, machine settings, and any adjustments made during the shift for traceability and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of sharp tools, safe operation of machinery, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Assist in training new hires or junior staff on machine operation, pattern reading, and quality standards.
- Participate in periodic production meetings to share insights, suggest process enhancements, and stay informed about upcoming collections.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Age: No upper limit; we welcome candidates of any age who meet the skill criteria.
- Experience: At least 1 year in garment or sewing production; fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating various sewing machines (straight‑stitch, overlock, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret complex sewing patterns.
- Basic knowledge of fabric types, thread selection, and needle maintenance.
- Experience in routine machine upkeep and troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering defect‑free products.
- Excellent time‑management and the ability to meet tight production deadlines.
- Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new technologies in garment manufacturing.
- Availability: Immediate start preferred; work schedule is Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑16:00.
