Responsibilities

- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of line cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and disciplined work environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols in compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
- Control inventory, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers to source fresh, high‑quality ingredients while minimizing waste.
- Develop new recipes, seasonal menus, and special promotions in collaboration with the Executive Chef, reflecting current culinary trends and guest preferences.
- Monitor kitchen equipment, schedule routine maintenance, and troubleshoot any operational issues to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Participate in cost‑control initiatives, including portion control, menu pricing, and budgeting to achieve profitability targets.
- Ensure the kitchen area is organized, clean, and safe at all times, promoting a culture of professionalism and excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen, preferably within a luxury or five‑star setting.
- Strong culinary foundation with proficiency in both local and international cuisines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Non‑smoker preferred; a healthy lifestyle is valued.
- Presentable appearance and professional demeanor.
- Good command of Bahasa Indonesia; additional language skills are a plus.
