Introduction
The Operator Penusuk Gabah is a critical role within the rice processing sector, responsible for operating the penusuk gabah (rice husk piercing) equipment that prepares harvested rice for further milling and polishing. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the penusuk gabah machines, ensuring that rice kernels are properly pierced to facilitate husk removal.

- Maintain product quality by inspecting output for uniformity, preventing broken grains, and reporting any deviations to the supervisor.
- Execute regular cleaning and minor maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts, clearing jammed kernels, and replacing worn components.
- Document production data, including batch numbers, processing times, and any downtime, using the plant’s digital logging system.
- Follow strict health, safety, and hygiene protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and participating in safety drills.
- Collaborate with quality‑control staff to conduct sample testing and ensure compliance with national rice quality standards.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting raw material levels and coordinating with the warehouse for timely replenishment.
- Contribute ideas for process optimization, energy savings, and waste reduction during team meetings.
- Provide clear communication with shift supervisors and co‑workers, especially when transitioning between shifts.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 35 years old.
