Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Supervisor – Steward Team Operations to join our hospitality team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction across all food and beverage outlets. The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of supervisory experience in a hotel or similar hospitality environment, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a professional, guest‑focused attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and schedule the stewarding team to ensure seamless daily operations in kitchens, dining rooms, and banquet areas.
  • Monitor and enforce hygiene and safety standards in accordance with hotel SOPs, local regulations, and international best practices.
  • Coordinate with kitchen chefs, banquet managers, and front‑of‑house staff to prioritize cleaning tasks during high‑volume periods.
  • Conduct regular inspections of workstations, equipment, and storage areas, reporting any deficiencies and initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and disposable items, and place orders to prevent shortages.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on proper dishwashing techniques, waste segregation, and eco‑friendly practices.
  • Handle guest complaints related to cleanliness or service promptly, turning issues into positive experiences.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for senior management, highlighting productivity, cost control, and compliance metrics.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of large‑scale events, ensuring that all stewarding resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement within the department.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 (associate or bachelor’s degree) preferred; SMA/SMK acceptable with relevant experience.
  • At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience in hospitality, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operational standards, food safety (HACCP), and sanitation protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in Indonesian and basic English.
  • Professional appearance, friendly demeanor, and a customer‑service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure setting.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional night duties.
  • High level of integrity, discipline, and accountability.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for scheduling and reporting.
