Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and customer‑focused Cashier – Transaction Management to join our fast‑growing retail team. This role is the front‑line of our store, responsible for ensuring every transaction is processed accurately, efficiently, and with a friendly attitude. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with at least one year of cashier experience, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and the ability to thrive in a busy, high‑traffic environment while maintaining strict attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Process cash, credit, and digital payments quickly and accurately, ensuring all sales are recorded in the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash drawer reconciliation at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies immediately to management.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering product queries, and resolving minor issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including regular stock checks of receipts, bags, and promotional materials.
- Assist in daily sales reporting, preparing summary sheets that detail transaction volume, average ticket size, and any refunds or voids.
- Collaborate with floor staff to ensure smooth flow of merchandise to the checkout, especially during peak hours and promotional events.
- Adhere to company policies on cash handling, fraud prevention, and data security, following all regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay up‑to‑date with new POS features, promotional pricing, and customer‑service best practices.
- Support inventory control by flagging low‑stock items at the register and notifying the inventory team.
Requirements
- Gender: Female (preference based on company policy).
- Age: Maximum 25 years old.
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Work experience: At least 1 year of proven cashier or transaction‑management experience.
- Strong verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English.
- Ability to work full‑time, Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Not currently enrolled in any academic program and not married (as per the specific hiring criteria).
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a clean attendance record.
- Proficiency with standard POS systems and basic computer literacy.
- Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail for cash handling.
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
