Introduction
Delta Silicon, a leading precision‑manufacturing hub located in the Delta Silicon 6 complex of Lippo Cikarang, is seeking a dedicated Inspector – Quality Control (QC) to join its dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all components and assemblies meet stringent quality standards, comply with ISO 9001:2015 requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor. This full‑time position offers a stable work schedule from Monday to Saturday, with the possibility of shift work to align with plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed dimensional inspections using calibrated micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and load testers to verify conformance to engineering drawings.
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings, schematics, and GD&T symbols to identify critical inspection points.
- Document inspection results in electronic forms (e.g., G‑Form) and generate comprehensive reports for engineering and production managers.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, including internal audits and corrective action tracking.
- Apply 5S principles to maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment within the inspection area.
- Collaborate with design engineers and production supervisors to resolve non‑conformances and recommend design or process improvements (Kaizen).
- Perform statistical process control (SPC) analyses and contribute to root‑cause investigations using tools such as Pareto charts and fishbone diagrams.
- Train junior inspectors and production staff on measurement techniques, proper use of equipment, and quality documentation procedures.
- Ensure all measurement equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained according to the plant’s schedule.
- Support shift handovers by clearly communicating any quality issues, pending inspections, or corrective actions required.
Requirements
- Male candidate (as specified by the client’s operational requirements).
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate or Bachelor) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; SMK technical background also acceptable.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in QC measurement, preferably within a high‑precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Skilled in operating dimensional measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM) and load testing equipment.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 implementation, internal auditing, and documentation practices.
- Practical knowledge of 5S workplace organization and Kaizen/continuous‑improvement methodologies.
- Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and web‑based forms (e.g., G‑Form).
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and to be stationed at the Delta Silicon 6 site in Lippo Cikarang.
- Excellent analytical mindset, strong problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication skills—both written and verbal.
