Introduction

To strengthen our Credit Collection division, we are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join us as Kepala Bagian Penagihan (RO) – Head of the Recovery Operations (RO) Department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the bank’s asset quality, driving timely repayment, and fostering strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the RO team, setting clear performance targets and monitoring daily collection activities to ensure compliance with bank policies.
- Develop and implement strategic collection plans that align with the bank’s risk appetite and profitability goals.
- Coordinate closely with the Credit, Legal, and Risk Management departments to resolve delinquent accounts efficiently.
- Analyze portfolio performance, identify high‑risk segments, and propose corrective actions to senior management.
- Negotiate repayment arrangements, restructuring proposals, and settlement offers with borrowers, while maintaining a customer‑centric approach.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of banking regulations, consumer protection laws, and industry best practices related to debt recovery.
- Prepare regular reports on collection results, aging analysis, and forecasted recoveries for the executive committee.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the RO staff to enhance negotiation skills, legal awareness, and effective use of collection tools.
- Represent the bank in external forums, building a network of contacts in the Magelang area to support proactive collection initiatives.
- Ensure the team operates under high pressure while meeting or exceeding established collection targets.
Requirements
- Male candidate, maximum age of 35 years.
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (associate) or S1 (bachelor) degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Prior experience as a Koordinator or Kepala Bagian RO is highly preferred.
- Background in banking, especially in credit or collection functions, is an advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a visionary mindset and the ability to inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of handling complex borrower interactions.
- Extensive network and deep understanding of the Magelang market and its business environment.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and achieve aggressive collection targets.
- Own a motorbike and hold a valid SIM C (motorcycle driving licence) for field visits.
- Strong analytical mindset with a solid grasp of credit assessment and risk mitigation techniques.
