Responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash, credit, and electronic transactions with accuracy.
- Process sales of a wide range of retail items, ensuring proper product scanning, pricing verification, and receipt generation.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including regular reconciliation of cash drawers at the start and end of each shift.
- Provide courteous, prompt, and professional service to every customer, addressing inquiries and resolving minor issues on the spot.
- Collaborate with store assistants and inventory staff to ensure that stocked items are available for sale and that displays are replenished as needed.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, including securing cash, logging sales data, and preparing reports for management.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding health, safety, and security, especially during peak periods and public holidays.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with new POS features, promotional campaigns, and product knowledge.
- Support team members during busy periods by taking on additional duties such as bagging, price checking, and crowd management.
- Report any discrepancies, technical issues, or suspicious activities to the shift supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age range: 18–30 years.
