Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Community Officer to join our regional team in Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur. This role is centered on empowering low‑income women through business mentorship, financial literacy, and access to group‑based micro‑finance solutions. As a frontline professional, you will build trusted relationships with community members, helping them develop sustainable income streams while fostering confidence and self‑reliance.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned villages and urban neighborhoods to engage with women entrepreneurs, assessing their business needs and providing personalized guidance.
- Conduct workshops on basic financial management, including budgeting, disciplined savings, and tracking of loan repayments.
- Facilitate group financing arrangements that provide start‑up capital without requiring collateral, ensuring transparent disbursement and monitoring.
- Listen actively to client concerns, identify barriers to growth, and propose tailored solutions that align with local market conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan performance, and training outcomes using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Collaborate with internal product teams and external partners to introduce new financial products and community development initiatives.
- Report weekly progress to regional supervisors, highlighting success stories, challenges, and recommendations for program improvement.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning by staying updated on micro‑finance trends, gender‑focused entrepreneurship, and regional economic developments.
Requirements
- Female candidates only; age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 degrees are considered a strong advantage.
- Passionate about social interaction and comfortable meeting new people daily.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts in simple terms.
- Detail‑oriented with solid organizational abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Adaptability to work in diverse cultural settings and remote locations within the Banyuwangi region.
