Introduction

The Kitchen Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the culinary environment runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic, hands‑on experience in kitchen settings, and a desire to grow within the food service industry. The role is based on a full‑time schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with a probationary salary range of IDR 2,500,000 – 3,000,000.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily kitchen activities, including preparation, cooking, plating, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials, spices, and disposables; conduct regular stock checks and place orders as needed.
  • Operate and troubleshoot kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and slicers, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce food safety regulations (HACCP, local health codes) to prevent contamination and ensure product quality.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper techniques, portion control, and hygiene practices.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and service managers to develop efficient work schedules that meet peak‑hour demand.
  • Monitor waste levels, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and suggest process improvements.
  • Prepare daily reports on production output, equipment performance, and any incidents that occurred during the shift.
  • Assist in menu development by providing feedback on ingredient availability, preparation time, and cost implications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular deep‑cleaning of workstations and storage areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a commercial kitchen or food‑service operation.
  • Not currently enrolled in any academic program (full availability during scheduled shifts).
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Proficiency in operating standard kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members.
  • Flexibility to work six days a week (Monday‑Saturday) and adapt to occasional overtime during high‑volume periods.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle the demands of a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
