Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Cashier Frontline Customer Service Specialist to join our vibrant retail team in Jambi. Responsibilities
- Execute the full sales cycle, from scanning items to processing cash, credit, and digital payments efficiently.
- Maintain accurate, real‑time records of all transactions in the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, reconciling cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Provide clear, courteous product information and assist customers in locating merchandise, thereby enhancing the overall shopping experience.
- Open and close the store according to standard operating procedures, including cash register setup, security checks, and end‑of‑day reporting.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers, addressing inquiries, resolving minor issues, and escalating complex matters when necessary.
- Demonstrate consistent reliability, honesty, and punctuality, adhering to company policies and shift schedules.
- Uphold a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that promotional materials, bags, and receipts are stocked and ready for use.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts, assisting with stock verification and loss‑prevention initiatives.
- Attend regular training sessions to stay updated on new product lines, POS software upgrades, and customer service best practices.
- Support fellow staff during peak hours by performing additional duties such as bagging, floor assistance, and crowd management.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age limit: up to 25 years for female candidates; all genders welcome.
- At least 1 year of experience as a cashier or in a comparable customer‑service role.
- Strong numerical ability and proficiency with cash‑handling and POS systems.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Professional appearance and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Residency in Jambi or willingness to relocate.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a keen eye for detail.
