Responsibilities
- Collect parcels and packages from the central depot and deliver them to the designated addresses according to J&T’s delivery instructions.
- Plan and optimize daily routes using mapping tools and local knowledge to maximize efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
- Verify recipient addresses before delivery, confirming building numbers, landmarks, and contact details.
- Handle parcels with care to prevent damage or loss during transit, following safety and handling guidelines.
- Obtain the recipient’s signature or electronic acknowledgment as proof of delivery and update the system in real‑time.
- Collect cash‑on‑delivery (COD) payments when required, issue receipts, and reconcile daily collections.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch supervisors, report any delivery exceptions, and receive new assignment updates throughout the shift.
- Keep accurate paper or digital logs of deliveries, mileage, and any incident reports for audit purposes.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering basic inquiries, offering assistance with tracking, and representing J&T’s brand values.
- Participate in routine vehicle inspections, ensuring the motorcycle or scooter is road‑worthy and complies with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Male candidates (as per current operational policy) – age not exceeding 40 years.
- Valid Indonesian driving license (SIM C) and ownership of a personal two‑wheel vehicle suitable for parcel delivery.
- Education: any level (high school diploma or higher is advantageous but not mandatory).
- Honest, disciplined, and highly responsible with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent knowledge of the Sidoarjo area, including main roads, residential zones, and commercial districts (a distinct advantage).
- Basic literacy in Indonesian; ability to read addresses, complete delivery forms, and use a smartphone for navigation.
- Good interpersonal skills: friendly, patient, and able to handle customer queries professionally.
- Physical stamina to load and unload parcels, often weighing up to 20 kg, and to work in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Sunday, with a standard shift from 08:00 to 16:00.
