Introduction

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Kitchen Operations Team at a leading hotel. This role is ideal for recent graduates or anyone with a passion for the hospitality industry who wants to develop practical skills in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. The successful candidate will work closely with chefs, service staff, and management to ensure that all kitchen activities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and portioning according to recipe specifications.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors, ensuring proper use and regular cleaning.
  • Follow strict food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control of perishable items.
  • Support the head chef and sous‑chef in executing menu items, plating dishes, and ensuring consistent quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and help with stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with front‑of‑house staff to coordinate order timing, handle special requests, and maintain smooth service flow.
  • Participate in regular team briefings, share ideas for process improvement, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to the hotel’s hygiene policies throughout the shift.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down the kitchen before and after service, including equipment checks and deep cleaning tasks.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and occupational regulations, promptly reporting any hazards or incidents.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
