Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Cardiovascular Technician (Tenaga Teknik Kardiovaskular Senior) to join our dynamic cardiac care team. This pivotal role supports our state‑of‑the‑art cardiovascular unit, providing essential diagnostic and interventional services to patients with heart disease. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with cardiologists, nurses, and other allied health professionals to deliver top‑quality cardiac care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures such as coronary angiography, EKG, treadmill stress testing, and echocardiography, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment, EKG machines, treadmill systems, and ultrasound devices according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital protocols.
- Perform high‑quality cardiovascular imaging and data acquisition, interpreting results for cardiologists and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records.
- Conduct routine quality‑control checks, calibrate instruments, and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Provide patient education on pre‑procedure preparation, post‑procedure care, and lifestyle modifications to support cardiac health.
- Assist physicians during interventional procedures, handling catheters, contrast media, and monitoring vital signs throughout the operation.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for junior technicians and nursing staff on equipment usage and safety standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, contributing technical insights to improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with infection‑control policies, radiation safety standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Work flexible shift schedules, including evenings and weekends, to ensure continuous coverage of the cardiac unit.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 or S1 in Cardiovascular Technology or a related health science field.
- Active and valid STR (Surat Tanda Registrasi) for cardiovascular technicians.
- Preferably 2+ years of hands‑on experience in Cath Lab, EKG, treadmill, or echocardiography units.
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills, with a patient‑centered approach and high sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency in using hospital information systems for documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to work on a shift basis (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with occasional night or weekend coverage).
