Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Professional Barista to join our vibrant coffee shop team and deliver exceptional coffee experiences to our guests. This full‑time position is based in a bustling urban location with high foot traffic, offering a dynamic environment where quality, speed, and customer service are paramount. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry, a passion for specialty coffee, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Bahasa Indonesia and basic English.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of espresso‑based drinks, pour‑overs, cold brews, and specialty beverages following standardized recipes.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for all workstations, equipment, and the dining area in compliance with local health regulations.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, performing routine calibration and minor maintenance to ensure consistent product quality.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately, offering product recommendations, and handling special requests with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other consumables; conduct daily stock checks and report shortages to the manager.
- Train new team members on barista techniques, POS system usage, and service protocols.
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature and pressure settings, troubleshooting any equipment issues promptly.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new drink concepts and seasonal offerings based on market trends.
- Adhere to the shop’s opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, cash‑out reconciliation, and securing the premises.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of proven experience working as a barista or in a related F&B role.
- All genders are welcome; the position is open to both male and female candidates.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously with customers and teammates.
- Basic proficiency in English to understand menu items and assist international guests.
- Professional appearance and a genuine passion for coffee culture.
- Ability to work flexible hours, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
- Single or not married status is preferred but not mandatory; the focus is on reliability and commitment.
