Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Cook Professional – Kitchen Operations Specialist to join our fast‑growing culinary team in Banda Aceh. This role is essential for delivering high‑quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and teamwork. The successful candidate will work a full‑time schedule, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will be instrumental in supporting the kitchen’s daily operations, menu execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate a wide variety of dishes according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation, adhering to local health regulations and company food safety protocols.
- Assist the head chef in planning daily specials, managing inventory, and rotating stock to minimize waste.
- Collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure timely service and smooth workflow during peak hours.
- Monitor cooking equipment, report any malfunctions, and perform routine maintenance checks to guarantee operational efficiency.
- Participate in regular staff training sessions on new cooking techniques, menu updates, and safety procedures.
- Uphold the restaurant’s brand standards by presenting a professional appearance and demonstrating courteous, respectful behavior toward guests and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation, waste, and ingredient usage to support cost‑control measures.
- Support the implementation of sustainable practices, such as proper waste segregation and responsible sourcing of ingredients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the kitchen manager, including occasional event catering or off‑site food preparation.
Requirements
- Age: 21‑30 years old; must not be currently enrolled in any academic program.
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Residence: Must be domiciled in Banda Aceh.
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment; prior experience in a fast‑paced kitchen is a strong advantage.
- Core Skills: Proven cooking techniques, ability to follow recipes accurately, and strong knife handling skills.
- Personal Attributes: Discipline, cleanliness, neatness, honesty, and a reliable work ethic.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse kitchen staff and adapt to changing priorities.
- Presentation: Well‑groomed appearance that reflects the professional image of the establishment.
- Religious Commitment: Ability to observe the five daily prayers (Sholat) as part of personal practice.
- Language: Basic proficiency in Indonesian; additional language skills are a plus.
