Introduction
SMP Al Ittihadyah is a dynamic middle school located in the heart of the community, dedicated to providing a balanced education that blends academic excellence with strong moral and religious foundations. We are seeking a passionate Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam to join our faculty and inspire students in grades 7‑9 to deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings while fostering critical thinking, character development, and social responsibility. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive Islamic Education curricula aligned with national standards and the school’s ethos.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and multimedia resources that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely feedback and individualized support.
- Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage critical reflection on religious texts, ethical dilemmas, and contemporary societal issues.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as Qur’an recitation clubs, Islamic debate teams, and community service projects.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to create integrated educational programs and address student welfare concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student achievements in accordance with school policies.
- Participate in professional development workshops, especially those focused on English language proficiency and modern pedagogical techniques.
- Promote a respectful and safe school environment that upholds the values of tolerance, empathy, and mutual respect.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Islamic Studies, or a related field.
- Age: Not older than 28 years.
- Gender: Open to all genders; however, preference is given to candidates who identify as Muslim.
- Marital status: Unmarried (belum menikah) candidates are preferred to align with school’s cultural expectations.
- Demonstrated commitment to Islamic values and a willingness to model ethical behavior for students.
- Strong communication skills, both in Bahasa Indonesia and a willingness to learn English to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Ability to develop engaging teaching methodologies, classroom management skills, and a collaborative spirit.
- Experience: No prior teaching experience required; fresh graduates with a passion for education are encouraged to apply.
- Core skill: Pengembangan Keterampilan Mengajar (development of teaching skills) through continuous learning and reflection.
