Responsibilities
Interns will support the front office team in a variety of day‑to‑day activities that ensure smooth operations and memorable guest experiences. Typical duties include:
- Greeting guests warmly, handling check‑in and check‑out procedures, and processing payments accurately.
- Answering telephone calls, responding to email inquiries, and providing information about hotel services, local attractions, and transportation options.
- Managing reservations through the property management system, updating guest profiles, and coordinating room assignments.
- Assisting the concierge team with booking tours, restaurant reservations, and special event tickets, while tailoring recommendations to guests’ preferences.
- Monitoring lobby and public areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handling guest complaints or special requests with empathy, professionalism, and swift resolution.
- Collaborating with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage departments to fulfill guest needs promptly.
- Participating in daily briefings, shift handovers, and training sessions to stay aligned with hotel standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of guest interactions, incident reports, and inventory of front‑office supplies.
Through these responsibilities, interns will develop a comprehensive understanding of front‑office operations within a high‑end hospitality setting.
Requirements
- Male or Female candidates; gender is not a factor.
- Minimum education: Vocational High School (SMK), Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Currently enrolled in an internship program from a recognized school or university.
- Genuine interest in the hospitality industry and a desire to pursue a long‑term career in guest services.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and preferably basic English proficiency.
- Well‑groomed appearance with a professional demeanor at all times.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Disciplined, responsible, and possessing a positive, proactive attitude.
- Willingness to commit to the full internship period as defined by the company’s schedule (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
