Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging curricula for Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Illustration, and related subjects, aligning with national education standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and project briefs that integrate both analog and digital media, including Adobe Creative Cloud, CorelDRAW, and open‑source alternatives.
- Guide students through concept development, prototyping, and final production of visual projects such as posters, branding packages, digital animations, and interactive media.
- Assess student work through critiques, rubrics, and portfolio reviews, providing constructive feedback that encourages continuous improvement.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, workshops, and school exhibitions that showcase student talent to the broader community.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum developers, and school leadership to integrate visual communication concepts across other subjects, promoting interdisciplinary learning.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse cultural perspectives and encourages creative risk‑taking.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging software, and pedagogical best practices by attending professional development sessions and networking events.
- Manage classroom resources, including art supplies, digital equipment, and studio space, ensuring they are used efficiently and responsibly.
- Participate in parent‑teacher conferences, school meetings, and community outreach initiatives to communicate student progress and program achievements.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a closely related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in both traditional art techniques and digital design tools.
- Submission of a formal cover letter, up‑to‑date curriculum vitae, and a recent 3×4 cm color passport photo.
- Residence within reasonable proximity to the school campus is highly preferred to facilitate punctuality and community involvement.
- Demonstrated dedication and high commitment to teaching, with a genuine enthusiasm for mentoring young artists.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and, preferably, basic proficiency in English.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics, motivate students, and foster collaborative learning environments.
- Creative problem‑solving skills, adaptability to evolving technology, and a continuous desire for professional growth.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm.
